Undertones of War in 'Six Brilliant Books About The Great War' list

23/08/2013

Online magazine 'Sabotage Times' lists 'Undertones of War' as one of the most brilliant books about the First World War.

The article's author, Jonathan Roseweir, describes 'Undertones' as conveying 'the essence of war to a generation whose experience of it is mostly confined to playing computer games.'

Alongside Undertones, Roseweir picks five other books about the Great War. His choices 'encompass memoir, autobiography and fictionalised versions of both, from front-line combatants'.
